Hoodies and Shiruken Oh My!

naruto-hoodie-story

My friends and I all went out to Waffle House around 11PM like we usually do at that con (it’s tradition). We got back to the hotel around midnight and we saw all these flashing lights out front. Being the curious little gnomes that we are, we asked what was happening. All we were told was that A.)Someone was hurt by another con attendee and B.)They were checking everyone for hotel room keys because someone was passing out random keys to random people (o.o).All we heard was something about an Inuyasha hoodie and a stabbing, but we never heard the whole story until…

I was at the gym one night and started talking to this employee. He was there when the sh*t went down and told me everything. Apparently, this girl had had her Inuyasha hoodie (that was signed by someone really special to her or something) stolen earlier in the year. She knew who did it and gave the person until Otakon to cough it up. It didn’t get returned, but at NekoCon the suspected thief showed up wearing it. She tried to say she bought it at Goodwill and could show a receipt and sh*t, but everyone knew she was lying.

So…a fight broke out between the two girls (I don’t know who threw the first punch), and everyone else tried to break it up. Of course, there was alcohol and underage drinking involved. So this one guy who’s drunk out of his mind comes up behind another guy trying to stop the fight and stabs him with a Naruto shuriken he got in the Dealer’s Room. He’s now awaiting trial for attempted murder; everyone who was there saw that he was deliberately trying to kill this other person. It’s sh*t like that that gives us all a bad name and made me very worried that we’d be kicked out of the convention center for this year (thankfully NekoCon’s going to be there again).

All that over a hoodie -eye roll-
